Mr. Yacovone is referring to the field years ago before “Take The Field” restored it. It was in pretty sad shape- I taught at Bryant during those years. I remember the ground-breaking ceremony we had when Mrs. Kriftcher was principal. The late Robert Tisch was there with Tiki Barber, Michael Strahan, and some other Giants. We also had two 1969 Mets present- Ed Charles and Ed Kranepool, along with City Council Speaker Peter Vallone, Sr. and other local leaders. Those were the glory days at Bryant!
